Wood chips are used in multiple industries including pulp and paper manufacturing, biomass energy production, MDF and particleboard manufacturing, landscape mulching, and as a renewable energy fuel source for power plants and industrial boilers.

What is biomass fuel?

Biomass fuel is organic material derived from plants and trees that can be burned to generate heat and electricity. Wood chips from sustainably managed plantations are a leading source of biomass fuel used in power plants across Asia and Europe.

How does the export process work?

PT. Hasian Bersama Sejahtera exports wood chips via container (partnering with Sinokor & TS Line) or mother vessels for bulk cargo (partnering with Alphaeva Corporation Pte, Ltd Singapore). We handle all logistics from processing facilities in Lampung, Sumatra and Banten, Java.

What wood species do you supply?

We supply Acacia (Acacia mangium), Eucalyptus, Rubber wood, and various Hard Wood species. Species selection depends on end-use application — pulp mills typically require Acacia and Eucalyptus while biomass customers accept a broader range.

What species do Veridian plantations cultivate?

We primarily cultivate fast-rotation Acacia mangium and Eucalyptus pellita / urograndis hybrids — species selected for high caloric value, rapid growth cycles (5–7 years), and adaptation to Indonesian soils. Pilot sites also include native species trials.

Are Veridian plantations certified?

Yes. Our operating concessions are fully certified under national SVLK (Timber Legality Assurance System) and comply with international regulations. We are actively transitioning concessions to FSC and PEFC certifications to ensure global market acceptability.

How does Veridian protect biodiversity?

Each concession has a mandatory 10% High Conservation Value (HCV) set-aside area where commercial harvesting is strictly prohibited. We collaborate with local conservation partners to monitor and protect endangered flora and fauna including orangutan wildlife corridors.

What is the carbon footprint of Veridian biomass?

Our fast-rotation plantations act as highly active carbon sinks. An independent cradle-to-gate carbon assessment is conducted annually. Replanting at a 4:1 ratio ensures net-negative carbon balance in growth phases, offset only by shipping and processing fuels.
